The Paradies cabin is worth a detour on the way back.

Starting at the Bernina Hospice (RhB station), there is a flat trail along

mountain range.
Chamanna means cabin.
» Walking time is about 2.5 hours.

There’s a slightly climbing footpath leading from Pontresina into
the Roseg valley. At the Hotel Roseggletscher bridge, the trail branches
off towards the left to take you to Chamanna Tschierva (with an almost flat
profile initially, and climbing later). Your climbing effort will be rewarded
by an overwhelming view of the nearby glaciers, Piz Bernina, Piz Scerscen
and Piz Roseg.

Go around the Pontresina station in the direction of the Roseg valley, and
follow on to climb the Alp Staz plateau, from where a fairly steep trail
ascends through the old stone-pine forest towards Muottas Schlarigna (1.75
hours).
You’ll forget the effort making your way up here when enjoying the
splendid panoramic view above Pontresina. The way down to St.Moritz-Bad
is on a slightly descending path crossing stone-pine and larch forests.
